Woodland Sale and Purchase

Woodland transactions fall into two categories:

• The purchase and/or sale of professionally managed woodland often driven by tax related considerations;
• Leisure woodland sale or purchase - there has recently been a trend for owning a piece of woodland for leisure rather than tax purposes.  

We continue to handle woodland related transactions and during 2007 we acted on the purchase of several professionally managed woodlands acquired for tax purposes.

Throughout 2007 and so far in 2008, we have also acted on the disposal of a number of woodlands that were held for leisure purposes.
